The Yorkshire Championships returned to Lightwater Valley for the second year running, and once again the weather was fairly kind, though underfoot conditions were in places very tricky.

Chevin Chase 26 Dec 2013 A perfect bright still blue sky day for the 2013 Chevin Chase. Muddy in places with occasional icy patches to keep you on your toes. Fancy dressers were out in force including Kerry in elfish mode and Phil ringing out the bells. A few of us – myself, Sue Fulton & Stephen Fry to my knowledge) ran on late switch numbers (too late to change the names) and it was good to see the Vesey family keeping their running legs on the go. Jonny Brownlee was first home in 39.02 and Ellie Kitchen had a great run (50.57) to finish 10th behind ladies winner Pauline Munro 45.34 who was almost 3ms clear of the other ladies.
