This popular local race, held under FRA rules, in conjunction with the Eldwick & Gilstead gala.
Bring the family along for a great day out – burnt bangers, ice creams, spitfires, spice stalls and monkey shows etc, etc. all topped off with a lung splitting, eye bulging dash to the top of Hope Hill.
The race, initially on tarmac, follows a well worn footpath to the ‘summit’ of Baildon Moor where you can pause to take in the magnificent views before plunging back down the hillside. Save a bit for the end because it’s one of those races we all love with an uphell finish! (I did a typo there – it should have read ‘uphill’ but perhaps ‘uphell’ is better!).
The route is well marshalled and is flagged/obvious.
Prize giving as near to 4.15pm as we can manage!
