Five Harriers travelled to Richmond Park Stadium, Ashton-u-Lyne on Sunday 11 February.
The event was hosted by East Cheshire Harriers. Conditions were very cold, but the threatened snow did not arrive.
In the first race, for all women and M70+, after two and a half laps and 5K, Sue Cordingley (nee Becconsall) finished in 3rd place and first W55 in 20m-53, a class run as the winner, a W40 clocked 19m-57. We were one man short of a team, but had individual success with
Les Haynes 7th in 22m-07 for first over 75 and Fred Gibbs 14th in 24m-20 for second M75.
Race two featured men 35 to 69, running 5 laps for 10K. Mark Westman had a strong run, finishing 17th and 4th M60 in 46m-17 and Don Johnson was first M65 in 19th place, 49m-45.
25 competed in Race 1 and 23 in Race 2.
