The last race in the League took place at Cliffe Castle on December 9th. The course was less muddy than usual, but there was a threat of snow in the air and it was slippery underfoot in places.
Once again we were short of numbers and, though we did have representatives in all eight junior races, we only managed three scoring teams: our U11 Boys were 7th, U13 Girls 9th, and Under 13 Boys 6th.
Individually however, there was a great deal to be happy with: Rebecca Flaherty’s 3rd place in the U13 Girls; Emily Field’s 2nd place in the U17s; and Martha Jackson’s emphatic win in the U11s. I should also mention a promising debut run by Joseph Smith in the U13s, a battling 10th place by Jake Wallace in the same race, and a fine 6th place by Alex Flaherty in the U15s.
However, as the results below demonstrate, there were fine efforts all round: well done everyone!
