Leeds City Indoor Open Track & Field meeting

Report and Results Leeds Young Athletes Track & Field Open Competition 9th February 2014.

Many thanks to Matt Barton and his team at Leeds City AC for a fun filled day packed with PBs and a couple of records. There were PBs for all 5 Bingley Girls. In the U17s 60m Lucy Oldroyd was 2nd in a time of 8.2 secs. In the U13 60m Natasha Kerman was 27th in a time of 11.5 secs , followed by her younger sister Jessica 28th in a time of 11.7 secs.

The u13 Shot Put saw a throw of 3.85m achieving 10th place for Natasha and Jessica threw 3.43m to attain 12th place. In the U13 Long Jump Natasha’s best attempt was 1,81m putting her in 22nd place. In the U11 Long Jump Rebecca’s best jump was 2.28m putting her in 10th place and her younger sister Alicia, in her first ever competition managed a credible 1.51m putting her in 13th place. In the U11 Shot Put Rebecca threw 3.07m and Alicia 2.85m placing them in 11th and 12th.

In the 60m sprint, Rebecca came a respectable 9th in a time of 10.9 sec with Alicia in 12th place with a time of 13.7 secs. A few events records were set, notably in the U11 Long Jump Kiikii Brown (Leeds City AC) 4.08m and U11 60m Ava Jones (Doncaster AC) 8.9 secs. Andria Kerman
