The Shepherd’s Skyline Fell Race brought to a close this years Fell Championship.
The overall honors this year go to Harry Atkinson who seems to have been getting quicker and quicker throughout the year.
The ladies crown go to Faye Firth who although has had some niggles, injury wise, this year managed to rack up 99 points from 5 races, well done Faye.
The over 40’s title goes to Ian Holmes with his two wins in the category at Buckden and Burnsall, lets see if we can get a few more V40 runners on the fells next year to challenge Ian.
The most competitive age category is the over 50’s category with Harry Atkinson also taking this crown, as well, in a close battle with Mike Smith.
The full details and final standings can be found here, just for statistics 40 Bingley Harriers took part in a single race or more in this years championship which is fantastic, but only 6 people took part in 4 or more races. Lets see if we can get a few more Blue and White hoops on the fells next year and dominate the field!
