Clubmark Presentation

  • by

Bingley Harriers and AC have been presented their Club Accreditation Certification. The presentation was made by local Club and Coach Support Officer Lucy Archer (pictured). Obtaining their Club Accreditation is a step forward as the club works to continue its development.

Bingley Harriers and AC pride themselves on how effWP_20130702_003ective the structure of the club is and feel proud to have achieved re-accreditation.  The Clubmark scheme is the only national cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. It is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards. You can read more about Clubmark in our Clubs section at www.englandathletics.org/clubs.

Through the development of a three year development plan as part of the Clubmark process the Club has been stimulated to think more closely about how it is moving forwards. It has developed their lines of communication within the club and with external partners. The club has a greater awareness of its role & responsibilities and has massively improved the clubs structure. Bingley Harriers and AC is also an active member of the Bradford Athletics Network.

Local CCSO Lucy Archer added: “It is fantastic that the club has achieved Club accreditation; this is down to the hard work of the club volunteers, particularly Alan Oates who has driven the process. Bingley Harriers and AC provide a great atmosphere within the club and as a result are growing the clubs membership.”
