The Bingley team of Les Haynes,Fred Gibbs,and John Smithurst won Gold in the M65 to M74 age group,despite our youngest team member being 70 and the oldest 75.
The decision to award the teams by regions was reversed after Fred Gibbs wrote to the organisers to point that the team awards had always been to clubs not regions.
Bingley also collected two individual Championship medals,Les Haynes taking the silver in the M70’s and John Smithurst bronze in the M75’s.
