Hi, Some very Sad news. Geoff Garnett sadly died yesterday. A club stalwart and life vice president, Geoff was aged 79 and had been a member of Bingley Harriers since 1952. Geoff competed into his 50s for the club and then had roles as Secretary and was a main stay in organising and setting up club events.
Geoff was certainly a mentor to me when I took on the Secretary’s role and was often round at our house having an impromptu committee meeting. Details of Geoff’s funeral arrangements will follow as soon as we know.
