Yorkshire Vets Champs 5k – Esholt 8th May
Our Vets were in good form ,collecting three 1st places. Shaun Jordan 1st M60, Fred Gibbs 1st M70, John Smithurst 1st M75 and nicely backed up by Les Haynes 2nd M70,and Peter Ellerton 3rd M65 and not forgetting Simon Johnson collecting a bronze in the V45 by default, dont ask why ?
The races are a series of 3 races and if you compete in all 3 you will then accumulate points and finish in a final table, I am sure the above runners will feature in those final tables. last race is 22nd May – report later.
Masters Relays at Sutton Coalfield 18th May – GOLD GOLD GOLD
The Ladies W55 team came a brilliant 1st place Gold medal winners. Mary green 1st leg 20-00, Sue Cariss 2nd leg 22-46, Becky Weight 21-49 -a great team run by all and my congratulations to those ladies.
The Men’s M65 team came 4th ovearll out of 14 teams which is a fine performance. Peter Ellerton 1st leg 21-22, Fred Gibbs 2nd leg 20-24, Les Haynes 3rd leg 20-19

Races Coming up – individual entries only
The YVAA 5 mile Champs at Haworth (the Full Bronte)is on the 6th June and closing date for postal entries is 1st June but you can enter online.
The British Masters’ 5k road championships up next of course after Haworth at Horwich Sunday 16th June Closing date 7th June.
