Sunday 24th February 2013, Junior Ilkley Fell races and what a great turnout of Bingley Juniors. Some great racing and results from our Juniors, which hopefully the pictures show.
All started with a new runner for Bingley Harriers Juniors on the fell, Olivia Tiffany ran her first race in the U8’s and came a fantastic 3rd place (following in her dad’s – Paul’s footsteps). In the U10’s we took 1st place with Joe Carnelley after stormed past the field. On to the U12 girls and Lucy Shutt ran fantastic to come home in 3rd place. In the U14’s we had a stong field and Bingley lead the way. Matthew Merrick took 1st place with Alex Stewart 2nd place. In the Girls race Vicki Merrick took 1st place (even after a swim in one of the bogs – see picture). We also had Joe Treasure-Jones in the U12’s race, Olivia Roper and Abigail White in the U14 Girls and Katy Boden in the U16’s race. Samual Mantle also ran in the U10’s race.
Well done to all the Junior Harriers for running, hope you enjoyed it has much as I did watching you all. Must not forget the 5 runners who have run 2 days running for themselves and the club, well done Matt and Vicki Merrick, Alex Stewart, Lucy Shutt and Olivia Roper.
