Fifteen Bingley runners battle through wind hail and some flooded roads,to produce some fine performances at the Ribble Valley 10K on Sunday 30th December 2012.
First home for Bingley was John Convery in a time of 34.55,and M50-54 winner, Les Haynes won the the M70-74 in a time of 41.59,beating some the best M70’s in the country, mainly from Bingley, Fred Gibbs was 2nd M70-74 in 43.28, Tony Kingham was 3rd M65-69 in 45.03, and John Smithurst rounded up our prize tally by winning the M75+ in a time of 49.25. James Robinson M40-44 was our 2nd runner home in 36.01,followed by Waheed Khan M40-44 in a time of 41.44, Ellie Kitchen F35-39 was our 1st lady in 42.30, Rob Eccles M50-54 ran a 43.56 ,Mike Smith would have easily won the M70-74 last year with his time of 45.35, as would George Buckley M70-74 with a 46.57, Katie Philips F35-39 time was 53.01, Sally Robinson F40-44 ran 53.36, Emma France F35-39 time was 55.08, and Merane Todds time was 1.01:58
