There will be THREE races all starting at the same time: 5k, 10k and half-marathon.
The course: traffic free route taking in the university campus, past the Bradford College campus and round the new City Park where all the races will start and finish.
So how can you earn the club some money?
Simple:
If 10 Bingley Harriers enter the races (in any combination) the club will receive £50.
If 15 Bingley Harriers enter the races (in any combination) the club will receive £100
If a mere 20 Bingley Harriers enter the races (in any combination) the club will earn £150.
Judging by the turn outs for the very successful club 5k series where attendance averaged 65 runners with a high of 78 at one race the club’s runners should have no problems in earning their club £150.
Who can enter? Anybody aged 11 and above who is a club member. So this is an opportunity for Junior members of the club to make sure there are more blue and white hooped vests than any other club’s colours in the 5k race.
AND
There’s a Club Challenge included in the 10k race. The first 6 men from clubs to score; and the first 4 women. But we need to have teams of 6 and 4 to avoid penalty points.
What will it cost?
£14 per person for the 5k and 10k races
£18 per person for the half marathon.
The more entrants the club has the greater the proportion of your entry fee goes to the club AND you will be helping two local charities
Sue Ryder Homes (Manorlands Keighley) and Epilepsy Action who will receive 60% of all entry fees.
