BINGLEY HARRIERS SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY CHALLENGE ,
WAGON LANE, BINGLEY, WEDNESDAY 30th SEPTEMBER 2009
Again we can boast a very good entry in this years Schools Cross Country Challenge with 470 finishers in our friendly organised but extremely competitive competition. This year we had a new venue and must thank the Bradford & Bingley Sports Club for their hospitality. The Hot Dogs and Burgers went down a treat.
The 14th annual event was contested by 42 schools and received support from the Bradford ‘bactive’ campaign. The event is an important part of the Bingley Harriers young athlete development programme and hope to attract youngsters to the sport. Reports indicate that the schools and athletes really enjoyed the event and Bingley Harriers have had several enquires from enthusiastic parents who would like their children to become more involved.
