Despite the unkind weather on our Special
Day we had a brilliant time. 'Tent City' looked very impressive
with the marquee for the evening presentation, the Bingley Bistro
and the Bouncy Castle. We had a slightly different format this
year in that the endurance part of the competition was a Haystack
Steeplechase. The jumps were all held indoors so those who were
helping on these events were very lucky. Not so lucky were the
shot officials and the track officials. Many thanks to all who
helped make this a very enjoyable and fun day for all the young
athletes and some of the not so young. The most serious race of
the day was the parents and helpers Steeplechase ! This day concluded
a very successful Track & Field Season for the Bingley Harriers
and we look forward to 2001 with high expectations. |
