*Any runner competing in any of the bonus races named above will have 5 points added to their total score for the year.

Categories
The junior championship will accommodate the following categories :-
• Under 8 Boys & Under 8 Girls
• Under 10 Boys & Under 10 Girls
• Under 12 Boys & Under 12 Girls
• Under 14 Boys & Under 14 Girls
• Under 16 Boys & Under 16 Girls

Ages are as on 1st January 2011 - athletes will stay in the same category throughout the year.

Championship Scoring
• All competitors must be paid up members of Bingley Harriers and Athletics Club.
• The first 10 Bingley athletes in each race will score points – 10 points for the first Bingley athlete to finish down to 1 point for the 10th Bingley athlete to finish (in each category).
• If there is a tie in a race between two Bingley athletes both will be awarded the same points.
• Up to the best 5 scores from the 8 championship races will count towards the final category position.
• *Bonus Races – any athlete who competes in any of the bonus races shown above will have 5 points added to their overall score (regardless of their finishing position).
• The competitor with the highest cumulative score from their best 5 races + Bonus Points will be the winner of their age category.
• The boy and girl with the highest cumulative points score from all 8 races + Bonus Points will be awarded with a trophy for the best overall performance.
• In the event of a tie in either the age category or the overall category, the winner will be decided following a count back of finishing positions.

Championship Awards / Prizes Perpetual Trophies
• Ken Smith Junior Fell Cup – Best Male Performance
• Ken Smith Junior Fell Cup – Best Female Performance
• Most Improved Junior Fell Runner (to be recommended by the Junior Fell Manager and agreed by the club President)

Prizes
• A pair of Fell Shoes from Sportsshoes Unlimited for both the Male and Female recipients of the Ken Smith trophies
• A Sportsshoes Unlimited voucher to the winners of each age category
• A Sportsshoes Unlimited voucher to the winner of the Most Improved Junior Fell Runner
• A prize to all athletes who complete 5 championship races
• A prize to any athletes who complete all 8 championship races
