The rain poured down for this year's race, certainly the wettest I can remember. That was the probable cause of a low turnout but nevertheless it was pleasing to see some new faces taking part in the club's oldest surviving handicap route up Marley Hill.
One regular face however was that of Stuart McDonald, who once again showed the way home from back marker recording a respectable time in the sloppy conditions to take the Hannah Lister Trophy.
Helen Jackson was the victim of a tummy upset resulting in a slow time.
