We had 5 junior athletes competing in this prestigious event, held once again at Prestwold Hall, Loughborough, in Leicestershire, in what were extremely difficult, muddy conditions, and the results were outstanding.
In the U20 Men’s race Matthew Merrick continued his good form with a pleasing 72nd position as part of the winning Yorkshire team, and in the U20 Women’s race Phoebe Francis, making her Yorkshire debut, achieved a fine 79th place.
In the U17 age-group we had two superb performances, with Reuben Mantle being the 3rd Yorkshire counter in 20th place, and Emily Field in 17th place the second counter in another winning Yorkshire team.
Finally, Rebecca Flaherty, in her first year in the U13s, was 2nd Yorkshire counter in a magnificent 15th place.
