Northern Road Relays Saturday April 2nd

It was great to get a team out for the 12 man road relays for the first time since 2011.Our senior men put in a good performance coming in 36th place.

There was a great team spirit on a bleak damp day Men ran 4 legs of 6.5k and 8 legs of 3.5k.Steve Broadbent ran our first 6.5k leg in a time of 22.06 followed by Steve Fry 13.25 on the 3.5k leg.John Parkin ran 23.43 on his 6.5k leg.Marathon training paying off  for Wayheed  Khan recoding a time of 13.19 on his 3.5k leg.Andy Siddle ran his long leg of 6.5k in 22.44,Wayne King-Farlow time was 13.56 on the 3.5k,Peter Stephens ran our last long leg in 23.48,on the 8th leg was Tony Kingham in a time of 15.58.New man Adam Madgett  ran14.05 on his 3.5k leg,followed by Phil Hawkswell in a time of 16.40,Jamie Robinson time on leg 11 was 13.43,and Tom Hooper ran the fastest last leg in a time of 13.17.

Well done to all and a big thank you to Phil Hawkswell and Tony Kingham who made sure we had a full team on the day stepping in on Thursday before the Saturday event.
