Bingley Harriers Road Report 2014/15

My second year as Road Manager, firstly I would like to apologies for not having my eye on the ball, in not producing race reports following the road championship races, but as some of you will know, I have had a lot on my plate this year. This year’s championship I experimented with the format of incorporating a variety of distances and also including getting Ladies and Men’s teams out at the Northern and National championship events. This format seems to have been well received so I will be developing the 2015-16 championship using the same format.

Bingley Harries 10k Road Championship 2015

This year the Road Championship was made up of a possible 8 running events, of which the individuals could accumulate a maximum score of 350 points.

Of the eight events two were Road Relays Northern Championship Team Event, which we managed to turn out both a men’s and ladies team at the 4 and 6 Stage event a Warrington in the September, but unfortunately we failed to get teams out at the 12 and 6 stage event in the spring.

Of the seven races that have taken place to date we have had 20 men and 10 ladies take part at these races. The final race of the championship is the rescheduled Bradford 10k on 27th September and both the men’s and the Ladies Podiums are up for grabs as we don’t know till the day, who will be racing.

The main highlights of the year are:

I wish you a speedy return to form and fitness.

My aim for 2015/16 is to continue to encourage more blue and white hoops out in the major club road events.
