The results for this years Harriers V Cyclists are now available here.
This years race was won by Bingley’s (Racing for Hope Factory Racing) Rob Jebb in a time of 35:43 second was Bingley Harriers Andy Peace (Racing for Jedi Cycle Sport) in a time of 37:30 and third was Bingley’s Andy Brown (first runner) in 37:54.
On the ladies side first over the line was out very own Fell Champ Victoria Wilkinson in a time 40:07 with former Bingley lady, now running for Helm Hill, Sharon Taylor second in a time of 44:47. Third lady was Lucy Needham of Wharfedale in 46:16.
The course this year was slightly different due to some restrictions which made the course slightly longer and with and additional climb! With the course significantly different the decision was made to have new course records so Rob’s time of 35:43 and Vic’s time of 40:07 are now the new records. The event went off without an incident but one cycle competitor fell on the moor and received first aid back at registration.
Thank you to all the marshals and helpers on the day, without you the event couldn’t happen! Also a big thank you to Mr Downs for letting us use his field for the start & finish as well as the Fisherman’s pub for allowing us to use there establishment for registration and prize giving.
