We are very sad to announce the death of David Broadley who passed away last week. Dave was our Throws coach for many years and his contribution to Bingley Harriers was immense.
He was originally from Hull where he was a Rugby League player for Hull Kingston Rovers. He brought his experience of training to Bingley Harriers and helped many youngsters improve their running and throwing skills. He had 4 sons who all represented Bingley for several years. Sam the youngest son was an excellent Hammer Thrower and Peter who was a 13m plus Triple Jumper.
Our thoughts are with Dave’s wife Anna and all their family.
