Bingley Harriers Junior Track & Field awards 2013

On return from the School Holidays on 3rd September the Junior Track & Field awards were presented at the end of training at Beckfoot.

Hound of the Year award – Presented for excellence through the year , selected from the 12 Hound Of the Month nominees. This years’ winner was Lucy Oldroyd, presented by no other than Hound

Dog himself.

Pulton Cup awards.

The age group winners were:-

Under 9 Girls – Lisa Tiler,               Under 9 Boys  – George Hahn

Under 11 Girls – Sophie Tiler       Under 11 Boys  – Fredde Simmens

Under 13 Girls – Ella Moran         Under 13 Boys – Jake Metcalfe

Under 15 Girls – Lydia Williams  Under 15 Boys – Alfie Warriner

Under 17 Girls – Emily Starr

Overall Winner  Pulton Cup 2013  –   U9 Boy – George Hahn

 

Youth Development league Points for points awards – age group winners:-

Under 13 Girl – Rhea Southcott                 Under  13 Boy – Sam Berry

Under 15 Girl – Joanna Lawler-Rhodes   Under 15 Boy – George Muir

Under 17 Girl – Lucy Oldroyd                      Under 17 Boy – Jacob Gill

Under 20 Girl – Holly Postletwaite            Under 20 Boy – Demetric Nelson

The Patrick Meegan Trophy for the top T&F Athlete was presented to Rhea Southcott.

 

The recent West Yorkshire Track & Field Championships featured a list of Bingley Champions:

Senior Men – Dave Carpenter   High Jump   1.55m

Senior Men   Demetric Nelson  100m (12.97), 200m (25.83) and just for good measure the 400m                                                (48.84) setting a new Championship and Club record.

Under 17 Men  – Jacob Gill  – High Jump (1.75m)

Under 17 Girl –  Lucy Oldroyd 100m (13.76)

Under 20 Girl  – Hollie Postletwaite   High Jump (1.50m)

Yorkshire Combined Events .

 

The Combined events saw Rhea Southcott win the Under 13 GIrls Triathlon (80m, Long Jump & Shot)

And Hollie Postletwaite come 2nd in the Junior ladies Heptathlon.
